In 2005, Jehovah's Witnesses began translating the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures into the American Sign Language from the Gospel of Matthew. Finally, in 2010, the translation of the 27 books that make up what is commonly known as the New Testament was completed.

It is worth mentioning that the Witnesses have also translated parts of the Bible into five other sign languages.
